Three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a two-car crash Wednesday afternoon in Marquette County.
Sheriff’s deputies say it happened at 2:15 in the afternoon on M-553 at the intersection of the Kelly Johnson Memorial Drive which leads to Sawyer International Airport. A vehicle stopped to make a left turn off of M-553 when it was rear-ended by a Jeep, causing the vehicle to flip onto its side.
The other vehicle ended up on the nmprth shoulder of the roadway.
The driver of the Jeep, a woman from Gwinn, was treated on the scene for minor injuries. The two people in the other vehicle, both from Gwinn, were taken to U.P. Health System-Marquette for treatment for what police call non-life-threatening injuries.
No names were releases, and the accident remains under investigation.
