Staffers from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources are set to answer viewer questions live Thursday night on “Ask the DNR” on WNMU-TV13.
Panelists from the DNR scheduled to appear on the broadcast include George Madison, fisheries biologist, Baraga; Heather Shaw, wildlife biologist, Shingleton; conservation officer Justin Vinson from Luce County and Tom Seablom, western Upper Peninsula district manager for the DNR’s Forest Resources Division, Marquette.
“One highlight of the upcoming show is the appearance by one of our Forest Resources Division district managers,” said John Pepin, DNR deputy public information officer in Marquette. “This will present a great opportunity for viewers to ask questions about Michigan’s forestry practices and planning.”
With the spring activities just around the corner, many viewer questions are expected to focus on spring fishing, hunting and other activities, but the discussion is typically wide-ranging based on viewer interests.
The hour-long program, hosted by Mike Settles, will air live at 8 p.m. EDT, Thursday, April 7. The program will be available later online, where WNMU-TV13 archives past shows.
The broadcast will be underwritten by the Daredevle by Eppinger, makers of Daredevle, Red Eye, Sparkle Tail, Evil Eye, Rex Spoon and Buel Spinner fishing lures.
Viewers are reminded to leave their name, city and phone number when calling in questions. Those questions not answered on the air will be answered by DNR staffers in returned phone calls following the program.
