Photos will be judged according to six categories, including:
- People and nature
- Landscape
- Water
- Wildlife
- Plants or fungi
- Climate
The judging panel is comprised of photographers and documentary filmmakers, including: Ami Vitale, Coyote Peterson, Brian Adams, Smita Sharma and Luciano Candisani, along with TNC staff.
Among the entries, a Grand Prize winner, Guest Judge Choice winner and Celebrity Choice winner will be chosen followed by first and second place awards for each of the six categories.
