The Bay College 2023 concert series continues this week.
Performing live on the Besse Stage is “The Slamming Doors” on Wednesday, April 5 at 7pm EST at the Escanaba Campus.
Opening for The Slamming Doors will be Gladstone students Brayden Mathias (guitar/vocals), Silas Breault (drums) and Cameron Lee (guitar/bass/vocals). They will be performing a few originals with a couple crowd-favorite covers.
“The Slamming Doors” is an energetic roots band led by singer-songwriter, Adam Herman. Herman has shared the stage with acts like Blues Traveler, Trampled By Turtles, Erik Koskinen, Bill Kirchen, and more. Born and raised in a small river town in western Illinois, Herman has spent years developing a sound that finds itself somewhere in between Jason Isbell’s inward discovery and Chris Stapleton’s soulful delivery, crystalizing aspects of humanity, conveying a keen sense of the gravity in life, while subtly lined with the celebration that is ultimately called for. The Slamming Doors was founded in northern Minnesota and the College is delighted to host them in the here in the U.P.
