A county-by-county report was not provided on Friday, so Saturday’s numbers reflect added cases since the Thursday update from the MDHHS.
The Upper Peninsula added 42 new cases over the past two days and has seen a total of 644 confirmed cases since early March.
The daily update on cases reflects positive test results and does not specify the severity of the person’s illness, or whether he/she has any smptoms at all.
No new deaths were reported in the Upper Peninsula on Saturday. The last death reported in the U.P. was on June 26 in Iron County. Before that, the most recent death was on May 24, in Marquette County.
