The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing about $2 million to replace a culvert on M-123 over Otto/Brant Creek in Luce County.
Work includes scour countermeasures, riprap, guardrail, signing, and approach work. The project is scheduled to start on Monday, and is scheduled to be done in mid-November.
One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained on M-123 using traffic signals on a temporary bypass road. A lane width restriction of 12 feet will be in place during the project.
This project will increase safety for motorists and extend the lifespan of the roadway.
