Mrs. Mary Blasier donated a kayak launch to the City of Escanaba.
The kayak launch is located over the Aronson Island Bridge to the right by the first parking lot in Ludington Park. Signage will be installed in the near future.
Mrs. Mary Blasier stated, “The kayak launch was installed in memory of my husband, Dr. Ralph Blasier.”
Recreation Director Kim Peterson stated, “The kayak launch is a great addition to the Municipal Beach area and will get great use by kayakers. The kayak launch has been listed within the projects to be completed in the Five-Year Recreation Plan.”
The kayak launch was installed by Waters Edge from Howell, Michigan.
