The Delta County Airport will be running an emergency response exercise tomorrow, Wednesday, November 2nd from 9:00am – 11:30am. It will involve local first responders but they will not be using sirens or emergency lights en route to the airport.
The point of this exercise is to help us practice our coordinated response to a realistic airport emergency so we can identify both strengths and weaknesses in the emergency plans we have in place.
Thank you to all involved, these types of exercises are not easy to coordinate and are run during operating hours for local responders. They are extra work for people who already have a difficult job.
**This exercise will not impede normal airport operations, our Delta Connection will land and take off at normally scheduled times.
