At approximately 0523 hrs the Negaunee Fire Department was paged out for a report of a 2-Vehicle Personal Injury (PI) Accident at US-41 near Teal Lake Ave.
Upon arriving on scene, crews noticed a logging truck and a sedan that had collided with each other causing damage to both vehicles. The driver of the sedan had to be extricated from the vehicle, and both the driver and passenger of the sedan sustained severe injuries.
Both the driver and passenger of the sedan were transported by ambulance to UPHS Marquette. The cause of the accident is still under investigation by law enforcement.
