WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT…
Blizzard conditions possible. Heavy snow is anticipated. Winds could gust as high as 45 to 50 mph with higher gusts possible particularly along the Lake Superior shoreline.
Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact both the morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
Heavy snow combining with blustery conditions could cause significant travel impacts leading into the holiday weekend.
