The Escanaba Public Library is excited to announce the availability of onsite digital literacy workshops that will take place on January 24 and January 25, 2023.
These hands-on workshops presented by Connected Nation, in collaboration with AT&T and the Public Library Association, will teach email and computer basics as well as how to navigate the internet. The classes will be offered twice each day at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Sign up for one of the four workshop options to learn new skills or refresh current ones.
The workshops are made possible as part of AT&T Connected Learning and their commitment to help narrow the Digital Divide. The national non-profit’s mission is to improve lives by providing innovative solutions that expand access to and increase the adoption and use of broadband (high-speed internet) and its related technologies for all people.
“We encourage those in the community that could benefit from these workshops to sign up for one of them. Most people just need some help getting started and these workshops could be just the jump start many people need. Computers and technology have permeated every aspect of our lives and participation in many daily activities requires a basic level of technology understanding to participate” says Monique Ciofu, Adult Services Librarian. Sign up is easy.
