There’s been a fatal traffic crash reported in Marinette County, Wisconsin.
The sheriff’s office says it happened at just after 7:00 Saturday morning on US-8 in the Town of Pound, Wisconsin. Depuries say that when they arrived, the vehicle was smoldering alongside the highway. It apparently was driven off the highway and into a ditch, where it became airorne and hit several trees.
The person driving the vehicle has been identified as 36-year-old Nereo Rios of Coleman, Wis.. He was not wearing a seatbelt, and deputies believe that alcohol and excessive speed were factors in the crash.
