Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center recently received a donation of Native American flutes, with the request that these be given to Native American Veterans who personify the Native American definition of warrior, which is: One who carries the people.
Pictured here is Robert Hazen, one of the Veterans who graciously accepted a donated flute. Robert is a tireless advocate and activists for his community and truly carries his people. That includes spreading the word whenever and wherever possible about VA services available for Native American Veterans.
