Hevay snow has already impacted many parts of the Upper Peninsula, and that has prompted many school districts to close their doors for Thursday.
In addition, Bay College has closed its campuses in both Escanaba and Iron Mountain.
As of 2:30 a.m. Thursday, the heavy snow was moving north from the southern U.P. toward Lake Superior.
