The Marquette County Health Department gave an update about the “monkeypox” on Tuesday, saying that this virus “is not the next coronavirus”. The monkeypox has been spreading around the world, and although it has not been detected yet in the Upper Peninsula, it has been found in other states.
Dr. Bob Lorinser, the medical director of the Marquette County Health Department, says “there is no need to panic”. He says vaccines and treatments are available for the monkepox.
Lorinser issued the following press release on Tuesday.
