The M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF) recently awarded grants during their Summer Grant Cycle. The Women’s Giving Circle Restricted Endowment Fund, held at the MMACF, awarded the following grants:
- Menominee Youth Baseball received a $3,300 grant towards the purchase of a new centerfield scoreboard for their girls’ softball field.
- St. Joseph St. Vincent de Paul Conference will use their $5,000 award to support women-led veteran families.
- The $2,500 awarded to Rainbow House Domestic Abuse Services will be used for a new health and wellness initiative for mothers and their daughters.
- Scholarships will be provided to girls from single mother/grandmother households utilizing the $2,520 grant to the DAR Boys & Girls Club.
- The girls’ gymnastics team at the Greater Marinette-Menominee YMCA will have a new Vault Table compliments of the $4,880 award they received.
The Women’s Giving Circle Fund was established at the Community Foundation in 2008 when an anonymous donor made a gift to the Community Foundation to support women’s philanthropy. The Fund is designated for the purpose of supporting projects and programs directly impacting women and girls throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties.
